I've been on the hunt for a movie called "The Last Chase" starring Lee Majors and Burgess Meredith out of around 1981. All I can remember of it was it was an almost sci-fi flick about an ex race car driver who decides to flip the fascist US Government the bird and drive across country in his Porsche Formula 2 racing car. The premise is that in the near future - America has no fuel thus everyone is forced to walk or ride bicycles (I think). I think there was some sort of conspiracy thing involved there but it was so long since I saw it I can't remember. Anyway, a pre-senile Burgess Meredith is an ex Air Force pilot who is brought out of retirement to hunt down Majors in the last remaining fighter jet on Earth and, as they say, hilarity ensues. The only vivid thing I can remember about this film was an orgy scene in a night club in about the first third of the it. Other than that, it was shite. But I still wanna see it to confirm that it was indeed shite.
